Kai Shin Digital Infrastructure Inc., a joint venture between Shinetsu Science Industry Co., Ltd. and Taiwan's CDIB Capital (China Development Capital), was officially established on January 20, 2026. Headquartered at 1-1 Circular Park, Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture, it is a Japan–Taiwan joint venture owned 50% by CDIB Capital Management and 50% by Shinetsu Science Industry.

The company's business is the development, construction and operation of one of Japan's largest AI data centers in Satsumasendai City, and the provision of computing resources. Since the announcement of the preparatory company in September 2025, we have held repeated discussions with Kagoshima Prefecture, Satsumasendai City and other stakeholders; with this establishment, we move into full-scale execution — securing the site, developing power and telecommunications infrastructure, and completing permitting procedures.

Melanie Nan, CEO of CDIB Capital, has been appointed Representative Director, and Kotaro Kosaka, Chairman of Shinetsu Science Industry, Director and CEO. Bringing together Taiwan's investment and technological strength with Japan's engineering capability, we will contribute to regional industrial clustering and talent development through the construction of sustainable AI infrastructure powered by decarbonized energy.
