Alongside the signing of the location agreement with Satsumasendai City, it was announced that total investment in the Kai Shin Digital Infrastructure project will be approximately JPY 850 billion for a 350MW-class AI data center. This scale of investment makes it an exceptionally large project even among AI data center facilities in Japan, and ripple effects on the regional economy are expected. Full-scale facility development is planned, including power infrastructure, cooling systems and security facilities.
